The Progression of World War I

Go to the following website that shows how World War I progressed from 1914-1918.

The Great War.

On the right you will see a menu under the heading "Maps and Battles of World War I".
Play the animation of each of the seven battles or maps and write down, on a separate piece of paper, at least four points or pieces of information about each animation.

When you are done you should have about 28 or so bullets or pieces of information.

Your task is to look at the document Primary documents - Sadler interviews.  This document is found in your Google Docs.

Fill out the form for the following people:

  6. Michael Ward
  7. Sir Samuel Smith
  8. Joseph Hebergam

After completing the chart, on a separate piece of paper, write whether or not you support the position of Member of Parliament Michael Sadler.  Remember, Sadler wanted to limit the workday for children  18 years old and under to 10 hours.  Use evidence from the people who were interviewed by parliament.  Your position should be 50+ words.

You must include at least three people found in the interviews and at least one picture to support your position.
